Leading ESG-focused digital maritime platform RightShip is pleased to announce the appointment of Kostis Antonopoulos as its Eastern Mediterranean Representative.
The newest member of RightShip’s growing EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) team, Kostis joins RightShip in late October, and will be based in Athens, Greece. His proximity to the vibrant central and southern European shipping hub will allow him to strengthen RightShip’s presence in the region, facilitating engagement with local communities, alongside other RightShip colleagues.
Kostis said: “RightShip is an organisation that exists to catalyse change in the maritime industry, with a clear vision of zero harm. I see this as my opportunity to join a well-established, ESG-committed, market-leading, international and multicultural organisation that encompasses a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
“We know that cultural and physical change must happen for this planet to survive, and this can be driven by reducing complexity and driving insight through robust data, coupled with meaningful analysis. I believe I can enhance the presence of RightShip, making myself a bridge necessary to connect and interface with regional clients and stakeholders alongside the existing team.”
Andrew Roberts, Head of EMEA, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kostis to the team, and we’re thrilled at the wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion he brings. Greece represents the single largest country of customers for RightShip and the region is a hive of shipping activity and innovation, with clear heritage and focus on environmental preservation. We are committed to strengthening RightShip’s relationships, engagements and service in Greece and the surrounding regions with a view to assisting the industry on a pathway to zero harm.”
