Dear customers and industry colleagues,
It is a privilege to lead RightShip as we mark our 20-year anniversary. I am pleased to be part of an ambitious team of professionals working across the globe to improve maritime safety, sustainability and crew welfare.
Our team is comprised of former seafarers, sustainability experts, big data and innovation specialists and corporate professionals from a range of backgrounds who believe in lifting standards and working towards operating in a world where the maritime industry causes zero harm.
In the past 20 years, we have made great strides enhancing supply chain safety, and as we enter out next phase, we are transforming the way that we do business.
During my first 12-months at RightShip, I have worked with our team to assess the strengths of our core solution offering, while also assessing the suitability of new initiatives that bolster our data, transparency and innovation in projects focused on crew welfare, sustainability and more targeted safety products.
In addition, our executive leadership team has been bolstered with the appointment of our Chief Strategy Officer, Tarun Mehrotra, who has been responsible for setting our strategic goals and considering opportunities for partnerships that help us to achieve our objectives.
We know that if we want to play a pivotal role in industry transformation, we must work collaboratively with the best people in technology, data and future solutions and look both within and beyond our own industry to develop product incubators and globally adopted processes.
In addition, Gurpreet Singh has joined RightShip, accepting the role of Chief Commercial Officer, joining us from Shell Marine to drive our commercial goals from development through to commercial implementation.
Finally, Andrew Roberts has joined us from Anglo International Shipping Operations in the role of Head of EMEA. He succeeds David Peel, who set up our London office and has been an influential leader since the region’s inception. He will design, lead and execute customer and key stakeholder engagement strategies to build strategic relationship and drive growth across the business.
While on this note, I would like to thank David Peel for his dedication to RightShip since 2007. He has left an indelible mark on our company and his passion for maritime safety will continue. He has been a trusted and respected colleague who will be missed.
The growth of our executive leadership team represents our ambitions to increase our industry impact, explore new markets and drive innovation that truly enables us to end incidents at sea and eliminate emissions from the supply chain.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us to achieve many goals to date and I look forward to working with all of you as we embark on a new era as a business, and as a community.
Kind regards,
CEO, RightShip
