Dean Palmer has held several senior financial roles in industries including logistics, construction, renewables and manufacturing. He is skilled in implementing strategies to create significant growth opportunities and generate strong turnovers through critical thinking and improved efficiency.
Commencing as RightShip CFO in November 2018, Dean brought expertise from start-up environments. In the past, he has overseen the expansion of companies that experience substantial growth, including one that grew to more than 500 staff and achieved a revenue of $1bn (US) in an 18-month period.
Dean’s finance qualifications, including an MBA from Melbourne Business School, and his change management aptitude make him well-placed to work across finance, IT and supply chain functions to implement a holistic response to rapid business development. Having worked with many tech start-ups, Dean has seen first-hand the way a business can thrive when new technology is embedded into a company structure.
Drawing on his previous roles in a broad range of sectors, Dean applies a new lens to RightShip’s future potential. He collaborates with multiple arms of the business and plays a pivotal role in enhancing RightShip’s innovation focus, while ensuring this is underpinned by a strong commercial outlook.
