As Chief Data Officer at RightShip, Paul leads the company’s enterprise data strategy, ensuring data is governed, trusted and used to create sustainable value. He oversees governance, engineering, analytics and the Data & AI platform, enabling scalable data products that support safety, sustainability and commercial outcomes.
Paul joined RightShip as part of the Thynk acquisition, bringing experience in building modern data capabilities within technology-driven organisations. With over 20 years of experience across telecommunications and financial services, he has supported technology and data transformation initiatives, strengthened information security practices, and embedded data-driven decision-making within complex, regulated environments.
At RightShip, he is passionate about elevating data literacy, building strong data engineering foundations, and embedding clear ownership so that data is managed as a product within the domains that create and use it. He also champions RightShip’s responsible adoption of AI, ensuring governance, transparency and accountability remain central as AI capabilities scale across the organisation.
Paul holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Technology from the University of Malta, an MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, and an Executive MBA from Henley Business School.
