As part of this continuous journey of improvement, earlier this year we announced the development of our new Safety Score and Platform with anticipated launch date in September 2020.
Since this announcement, the Platform and the Safety Score model have been received well following a planned period of consultation and due diligence with the industry. We have continued to work hard to take on board your suggestions throughout the beta stage of the Platform’s development.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has taken the time to review and provide feedback on the new Safety Score and Platform. We take our position in the industry very seriously and understand our responsibility to provide greater explainability within and around our products.
After listening to your feedback, we have decided to postpone the launch of the Platform and Safety Score. This is because we want to take the time to respond to your feedback.
As can happen with projects of this size, migrating from Qi to the new Platform has been challenging. However, we want to deliver a product that meets our ambitions and is of the highest standard that our customers expect and deserve. We have therefore elected to take the extra time necessary to achieve this.
We are disappointed that we cannot launch the Platform and the new Safety Score this month as intended. Our decision to postpone has been made after much consideration and is reflective of both the value that we place on your feedback, and the importance we place on making the launch a success for you and stakeholders across our industry. Together with your support, we will be well placed to go live with a product which will build on our partnerships and purpose, and will be the next evolution in improved safety for the maritime industry.
