Vessel Vetting
Harbour masters, facility managers and marine pilots, among others, do everything they can to ensure business continuity, by creating a well-managed, effective system for vessels arriving into, and departing out of their waters. Ports and Terminals need a single accurate view of arriving vessels and their associated operational risks, and they need these insights delivered quickly to ensure highest profitability.
Use RightShip’s vetting service to encourage safer vessels to enter your terminal and record a full audit trail to substantiate decision-making.

Vessel Vetting features
Get peace of mind and check all possible vessels against the RightShip standard, which represents the minimum requirement for a RightShip recommendation. This includes the latest regulations, sanctions, government and PSC banned lists, abandonment cases and safety and sustainability best practices and ensures that due diligence checks are being carried out to the most up to date standards.
Enhance your port performance by submitting terminal feedback reports directly to RightShip after a vessel has called at a port. The information in these reports provides us with an operational history of the vessel, considered when assessing the suitability of the vessel in future vets for your port and terminal.
Request Terminal Questionnaires (TQ) are completed as part of the ship scheduling and nomination process. Fully automated and digitised, it’s possible to check a vessel’s suitability using information specific to their mooring configuration, loading and de-ballasting rates, and helicopter suitability prior to berthing. Tailor your TQs can be specifically for each terminal.
RightShip has supported us to vet various LNG carriers calling at our floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) terminals, screening the various incident databases, Port State Control (PSC) deficiencies, and detentions, as well as the flag and class status of vessels. This all serves to provide us with a more holistic risk picture, which helps us greatly in our screening process. The platform is very user friendly, intuitive and I particularly like the Safety Score feature.
