Mike is a qualified accountant (FCCA) with about 3 decades of significant cross-industry experience, most recently in the commodities trading and maritime spaces. Beginning his career in public practice with PwC, he eventually joined Kidde plc, a FTSE 250 specialized engineering group, who promoted him to Finance Director, Asia in 2002, based in Bangkok. Mike has remained in Asia, relocating to Singapore in 2006 to join Petredec Limited, a global leader in energy trading and transportation. He became Chief Financial Officer in 2010, overseeing several significant milestones in the company's growth, including its steady ascent to become one of the biggest LPG shipowners in the world, as well as its first steps in the downstream energy business. Mike has co-founded a number of early-stage businesses in the commodities and maritime industries, including digital platform-based startups.
Mike joined RightShip in late 2023, and leads our Corporate Services function, overseeing all areas related to financial planning & control, treasury, legal, risk & governance, and cyber security.
