SS2-18

2

Any vessel with an unacceptable last RightShip inspection.

The vessel will require a RightShip Inspection.

RightShip Inspection Grace Period – Where a vessel exceeds the age where a RightShip age related Inspection is required, but does not have a valid RightShip Inspection the Safety Score will not be downgraded for a period of 15 days provided there is a RightShip Inspection booking in place. This 15-day Grace Period has been introduced to provide some leeway around the planning of RightShip Inspections so that unforeseen operational delays such as a change in the vessels trading pattern do not automatically adversely affect a vessels Safety Score.

Post Inspection Safety Score Reinstatement – When the physical part of a RightShip Inspection has been completed and Findings issued, the RightShip Inspection age trigger System Rules will be suppressed for a period of up to 20 days from the date of the inspection. This is to provide ample time for vessel owners/managers to prepare and submit a comprehensive Inspection closeout report and for the RightShip Inspections team to conclude the full inspection review process, without adversely impacting a vessel’s Safety Score and creating time pressure which can lead to less than adequate closeout submissions. Note: This Post Inspection Safety Score Reinstatement provision does not apply if the last RightShip Inspection was marked UNACCEPTABLE or if the total number of recorded Findings exceeds 30. In these cases the vessel’s Safety Score will not be automatically reinstated until the full inspection review process has been concluded and inspection validity awarded.

SS2-17 – Re-Inspection Requirements – Where SS2-17 has been triggered the vessel DOC Company will be notified of the need to complete a RightShip Inspection in order to reinstate the vessel’s Safety Score. In cases where a RightShip Inspection has been completed but the outcome is considered to be below average, with a validity outcome of 6 months or less being provided, SS2-17 will reactivate upon expiry of the inspections validity.
