INSPECTIONS - How to view, schedule and close an inspection (INTERNAL ONLY)

To view, schedule and track any inspection, complete the following steps.

1. Navigate to your tasks page, click on the 'INSP' tab, then click on the inspection you are looking for.

2. On the overview tab, you will see all of the inspection details and the status, which will be: new inspection, scheduled, in progress, awaiting response, review required, acceptable, unacceptable or cancelled.

3. To schedule an inspection, click on the status and change it to 'scheduled', fill out the necessary contact details such as the technical manager and inspecting company, and click submit. The relevant participants will receive an email outlining the inspection details, including where and when the inspection will take place.

At the same time, the inspector will receive a second email where they can upload the documents once the inspection is complete.

4. Once the inspector submits the documentation, the status will change to 'review required'. The supplied FO D04 List of Deficiencies, FO D05 Preliminary Inspection Report, and FO D06 inspection report, together with any other related documents will then be visible in their respective tabs, ready for review.

5. To initiate communication, a Request for Information can be sent. Simply click on the 'more' button (3-dots icon) and select 'Add Request for Information'.

This will open a form, which you can fill out to begin the process. Once you submit the form, your request will be sent and the relevant party will receive an email, prompting them to reply within the RightShip platform.

4. If an RFI is sent, the correspondence can be tracked in the 'correspondence' tab. You can also send another request for information from this page.

5. To close out an inspection, click on the status and select acceptable, unacceptable or cancelled, and complete the necessary details. Once you submit this information, the parties associated with this inspection will be notified by email.
