We will always guard RightShip’s data, ratings and intellectual property with the highest security possible. And we want to apply that to our customer’s valuable personal data which they share as part of doing business with us. This includes work email addresses, phone numbers and other personal details held as part of your subscription to the RightShip Platform.
To ensure we continue protecting these valuable assets, RightShip will require all customers to login to the RightShip Platform via a multi-factor authentication process from 30th June 2023. From this date, customers will need to perform an additional verification when signing in with their username and password, through an authenticator app or by receiving a text message on their designated mobile phone.
Your account managers will be in touch as we get closer to the 30th June 2023 to coordinate the update across your subscription. To ensure there is minimal disruption, we recommend setting up your multi-factor authentication as soon as possible. If you would like to get started today, please contact your account manager directly.
To get started, we’ve put together a walkthrough guide in our Help Center which will take you through the two authentication options and how to reset your account.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security measure that adds an additional layer of authentication to your login and password. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.
We are transitioning to MFA to improve the security of our user accounts and protect sensitive information. MFA provides an additional layer of protection, making it more difficult for unauthorized users to gain access to your account.
Get in touch with your account manager to activate your account.
Our implementation supports two authentication methods for MFA: one-time passwords (OTP) generated by an authentication app on your mobile device, and SMS text message codes sent to your registered mobile number.
You do not need a smartphone to use MFA, although it is the most common option. Users who do not wish to use a smartphone can receive codes via SMS text messages. What if I lose my phone?
If you lose your phone, contact RightShip by email at info@RightShip.com, or submit a query at https://rightship.com/form-send-an-enquiry/ & a RightShip team member will setup your MFA with a new device or phone number.
Yes.
Detailed information about MFA can be found here.
If you have questions, contact RightShip by email at info@RightShip.com, or submit a query at www.rightship.com/contact and a RightShip team member will action the reset.
