Job Details

As a leading digital third-party due diligence provider RightShip has an ambitious vision to expand its influence in safety, sustainability and crew welfare using the best new innovation, digitalization and data-focused solutions.  

The right candidate will play a critical role in shaping and executing the growth strategy for RightShip. In this role, you will help support the leadership in company-wide decision-making through your critical thinking, strategic mindset and data-driven approach.

You should have excellent problem-solving, time-management, business planning capabilities and the ability to clearly articulate and present information to stakeholders at all levels of the business. The successful candidate is deeply passionate about technology, data and has a keen eye for commercial opportunities. The role reports into the Chief Strategy Officer.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support RightShip in its global transformation journey to be a digital maritime player
  • Work closely with the strategy team and identify opportunities to grow exponentially the existing and future products of RightShip
  • Support the annual strategic and business planning processes, including long range strategic planning and supporting budgeting processes from a strategy perspective
  • Develop disruptive growth initiatives to help RightShip attain leadership position
  • Support the strategy office in ad-hoc projects having strategic implications on RightShip’s future growth
  • Regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cadence to all key stakeholders, with a strong analytical approach and crisp communication style
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis and perform environmental scanning to support decision-making and drive business growth 
  • Conduct industry research and monitor market trends to identify new growth or emerging opportunities

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in top tier consulting firm preferred
  • MBA qualifications preferred
  • Significant background in strategy and/or business development from a tech company or top tier management consulting firm
  • Understanding of technology landscape, sustainability landscape
  • Excellent communicator with superior written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and C-suite
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and coordinate resources
  • Ability to engage with and influence internal stakeholders at every level
  • Understanding of either Shipping, Maritime or Supply Chain industry
